Los Angeles indie band Lucy & La Mer are ready for the world to listen to their newest single.

Singer-songwriter and activist Lucy LaForge leads Lucy & La Mer. Her sound consists of various indie folk melodies, layered in with pop vocals and finished off with a signature baritone ukulele playing.

This song was absolutely amazing. Lucy’s vocals are simply breathtaking. They captivated me and drew me into the song. The song itself is very powerful with each lyric. It’s very rare that you can hear the story that an artist is trying to get across to an audience, but this song is a huge exception. There is a definite story, and it was very prominent. “I don’t think love should feel like war.” Her lyrics are very deep and bring things full circle, I feel. Add the instrumentals, and it just blends all of it together.
