As sad as it may be, a standard domestic assault case isn’t really anything unusual or newsworthy these days.

Unless the attacker’s weapon of choice is a delicious McDonald’s sandwich.

Marvin Tramaine Hill II was arrested Tuesday morning in Des Moines after the police were called. According to the police report, Hill claims that his pregnant wife woke him up around 1pm because she had brought food home. As he told police, he became upset that she brought home a McChicken sandwich for him because “some of them have like cartilage in them and I don’t like them. It’s not something that you want to wake up to and then see like, ‘oh, my wife brought me a McChicken.’” The couple began fighting, at which point Marvin threw the sandwich at her. He then proceeded to pick up the bun and throw it at her again.

She went to the bathroom to clean up, and Marvin began taking video of her. “I was filming it because she was cussing me out the whole time as I was holding our daughter and stuff,” he said. She knocked the phone out of his hands at that point. When police arrived they arrested Marvin for assault. He claimed that she had actually assaulted him, but the police believe that he had been trying to goad her into hitting him to make her appear to be the aggressor.

On what is probably the greatest police report ever, under “tool or weapon” the police wrote “McChicken.”
