The details surrounding MGMT’s self-titled third album have been released, and is set to release September 17.
Included with the purchase of the album is “The Optimizer” which the band describes as “unique visual elements to accompany and illustrate the new music, with a simultaneous aural and optical listening experience featuring video and CGI work.” Well that sounds intriguing!
The album also includes “Alien Days” which was released as a cassette single in honor of Record Store Day back in April.
MGMT has also released that they will perform five dates throughout the UK and Ireland as way to promote their new album.
