Well, if we hadn’t already heard just about everyone’s opinion on the decision to cast Ben Affleck as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel, we have now!
The guy who played many folks’ favourite Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 classic interpretation of the titular superhero, just gave Affleck two big thumbs up.
While being chased down by TMZ this week for a comment, Michael Keaton graciously asserted that “he’s gonna be great”. Then claimed he had “no idea what you’re talking about, man” when the TMZ reporter started asking whether he would ever consider appearing in a future Batman flick.
We feel like Batman should be allowed to get into his car without being bombarded by press, but we’re also happy Keaton is supporting Affleck! These Batmen need to stick together.
Other stars who have donned the cape, Val Kilmer and Adam West, both announced their support of the casting reveal on Twitter whilst George Clooney seemed surprised that no-one asked for his opinion at the Venice Film Festival recently… Poor diddums.
Christian Bale has kept schtum on the topic though, and this might be for the best, as Dark Night Trilogy fans have been VERY vocal in their disappointment.

Michael Keaton finished his session with TMZ by telling them, “I could do anything” when it comes to future projects. We’re not sure that includes a Bat-centric reunion though.
