Be still our Missy beating hearts! Hip hop royalty Missy Elliot is set to join The Voice for the upcoming fall season. The NBC talent competition show is famous for bringing together some of music’s hottest names, and they haven’t disappointed us yet.

Missy will be joining #TeamPharrell as a mentor to his contestants. Also joining in the fun is Selena Gomez for Gwen Stefani, Brad Paisely for Blake Shelton, and John Fogerty for Adam Levine. We’re excited for Missy’s return to the mainstream, and hope this means her new music gets here soon!

2015 has been a year for Elliot, bringing with it a resurgence of her genius. After joining Katy Perry’s Superbowl Performance, her iTunes sales skyrocketed and we’ve been yearning for more ever since. Maybe this is a hint for a Missy/Pharrell collab coming our way? He is producing her upcoming album, after all!

The Voice is set to return September 21st on NBC.
