Fans of The Carrie Diaries have been dying for the younger version of the iconic characters of Sex and the City to appear on the show. Luckily their prayers will be answered. The second season of the show promises an appearance by Samantha Jones, played by Kim Catrall in the original Sex and the City.
Just yesterday, May 16, Digital Spy reported that Samantha Jones is set to make an appearance on the show – as mean girl Donna LaDonna’s cousin. The casting for Samantha has yet to be confirmed.
The first season of The Carrie Diaries, the prequel to Sex and the City, was full of references to things to come in Carrie’s life. Watchers of Sex and the City witnessed Carrie’s first cosmopolitan, references to Stanford Blatch, and more.
In the next season of The Carrie Diaries, the younger version of other key characters from Sex and the City will make appearances. It was recently reported by Okay Magazine that Stanford Blatch will also make an appearance.
The Carrie Diaries will air on Fridays at 8/7c to The CW this coming fall.
