We’re right in the middle of December and Mondays are getting a lot easier thanks to the Christmas spirit. However, there are still a few hardships in days like this one, so PopWrapped has gathered every brand-new tune that’s worth-spinning on the casual #MusicMonday playlist to help you get through them.

“No Filter” – Black Coast feat. Madison Love

We haven’t heard from NYC-based producer Stan Rapoport, aka Black Coast, for a while now, but he’s finally returned with a brand-new single, titled “No Filter”. Joining forces with LA-based songstress Madison Love on this new sample from his debut EP, the two slow things down by serving elegantly crafted beats with an edge, smooth melodies and soft vocals, and delivering an outcome of laid-back electronic brilliance.

“Love Won’t Sleep” – Lostboycrow

There’s a lot of emerging artists based in Los Angeles on this week’s #MusicMonday playlist and Lostboycrow is one of them. With his debut EP Sigh For Me arriving early next year, the crooner has delivered a new track titled “Love Won’t Sleep”. This one is pop-done-right with electronic elements throughout its production and a more forward-thinking, alt-pop approach, to go with his slick and smooth vocals.

“The Hurt” – Diego Boneta

Scream Queens’ Mexican actor Diego Boneta has a singing career as well and has now made sure to deliver a follow-up to his latest single, “Warrior”. The multi-talented star is back with another taste from his upcoming, debut studio album, an infectious country-esque rock anthem called “The Hurt”. The song combines a jam-worthy production of guitar riffs and major drums, along with incredibly sing-along-ready lyrics.

“Work This Out” – Litany

Beth Cornell and Jake Nicolaides have formed up and coming British duo Litany, who we first met a couple of summers ago and last heard of this past June, when they dropped the Appleby-featuring “Woman”. They have now returned with new single “Work This Out”, a track that perfectly combines their indie-ish electronica with a more upbeat, synth-pop sound, giving a result that goes hand in hand with the songstress’ amazing deep vocals.

“Speed Of Light” – Bonnie McKee & !llmind

With songwriting credits on a bunch of hits in her back catalog, Bonnie McKee keeps pushing for that solo smash. This time around she’s joined forces with Brooklyn-based, Grammy-nominated producer !llmind to create a Star Wars™-themed joint single, titled “Speed Of Light”. The track serves as a futuristic kind of intense tropical anthem with some serious electro-pop influences and an incredibly catchy chorus hook to go by.

“That Night” – Linney

Los Angeles’ very own Caitlin Linney, going by just Linney, first got our attention with solo tracks “Hi, My Name Is” and “Coming Back For More”, as well as her collaboration with APEK, “Voices”. This past week, PopWrapped exclusively premiered her brand-new single “That Night”, an experimental and atomspheric piece of exquisitely-crafted electro-pop music with a delightful vocal delivery to go by.

“Machine” – Steele

No #MusicMonday will ever go by without our Swedish fix, which is found in up and coming songstress Steele and her brand-new single “Machine” this week. Serving as yet another sample from her forthcoming, debut EP, the “Fade” follow-up serves as a slow-burning and atmospheric, electronic kind of ballad with a dark production of synths, wonderfully combined with some moody yet calm-sounding vocals.

“Temperatures” – Rhythm District feat. Jessy Allen

Emerging musicians Castro and Ratcatcher have formed Welsh production duo Rhythm District and are preparing to release their debut studio album Your Loss next year. Their new track “Temperatures”, featuring vocals from Cardiff-based newcomer Jessy Allen, is a cheerful and light-hearted pop anthem with some old-school funk vibes in its playful production, which is nicely complimented by the songstress’ singing style.

“Crossfire” – Stephen

We first met Stephen Swartz when he was doing melodic dubstep in Miami, but he’s since moved to Los Angeles and followed quite a different path. After catching our attention with “Fly Down” as just Stephen, he’s now coming back for more with “Crossfire”. I would call this an electro-alt tune, but it’s rather genre-defying, providing the crooner with a twisted mix of synths and bass to express his views on people suffering in the world with his stand-out vocals.

“Shame” – Brooke Aulani

Up and coming Los Angeles-based songstress Brooke Aulani is tirelessly working on her debut EP Bedroom Music and has now revealed another sample from it for our own listening pleasure. “Shame” kicks off with some sweet strings, before the beat kicks in alongside her extremely melodic and fascinating vocals. The Alt&B tune makes perfect use of a hip-pop beat and give her space to use that voice and express what’s in her soul.
