The build team from the popular science debunking show Mythbusters will be reuniting for a new Netflix series with a familiar premise. Grant Imahara, Tory Belleci, and Kari Byron are teaming up to test stories from the internet and do other crazy experiments. The new series, entitled The White Rabbit Project, was announced during a panel at DragonCon, a yearly convention in Atlanta.
Exact details of what to expect from the show varies between attendees. One stated that a teaser clip showed Byron and Belleci drinking and experimenting, with Byron remote-controlling Belleci. Another attendee thought that it looked like both Byron and Belleci were wired up, are Byron tried to stimulate muscles electronically.
We’ll just have to wait and see! What we do know for sure is that the series has begun filming. Grant Imahara has been dropping hints on social media. He tweeted the following photo back in May of this year when filming started:

Tory Belleci also confirmed the series release this December on Twitter.

Mythbusters was a really neat show, and fans were sad to see it cancelled just this past March, so The White Rabbit Project kind of makes up for it. There’ll always be something to learn and debunk, and these three do it in such an entertaining way!
The White Rabbit Project premieres December 9th, 2016 on Netflix. While we wait for that early Christmas present, let’s reflect on some great past experiments from the Mythbusters‘ build team. Let us know your favorite experiment or myth tested by Byron, Belleci, and Imahara in the comments!
