Though not officially linked to the film, Colin Farrell has revealed what he knows about the screenplay for upcoming movie Warcraft, directed by Duncan Jones and based off of the World of Warcraft video game franchise.

“I sat with Duncan for a while and read the script, loved the script, and he was as cool as can be,” Farrell told IGN. “I don’t know what’s happening with the film. I don’t know where they are in the process.
“The script was just really, really cool, and it’s just a world that I never explored – and it’s a really big and fantastical world.”

Jones revealed plot details earlier at BlizzCon 2013. The film adaption will focus on the initial encounters between the human and orc races.  It will feature Anduin Lothar and Durotan as main characters.

The movie will also be animated with a mix of live action and CGI.

“I can’t imagine what he, being as visually gifted as he is… and what he did on Moon with, like, a dime, I can’t imagine what he’d do with this Warcraft.”

The fantasy epic film will be released in December 2015.
