The long awaited verdict on Nicollette Sheridan’s lawsuit against former employer, ABC has finally been reached! Judge Michael Stern has dismissed her claims altogether.
The actress filed a suit against the network for allegedly firing her from popular show, Desperate Housewives without just cause.
On Friday the Judge ruled that Sheridan would have to drop her case because she’d failed to make the required claims to a labor commissioner before pursuing trial.
ABC attorney, Adam Levin admitted that network viewed the new ruling as a positive one, saying: “It was the right result”. Meanwhile, Sheridan’s lawyers plan to appeal.
Sheridan claimed that she was fired from the show because she had complained about Desperate Housewives creator, Marc Cherry (pictured below) apparently hitting her on the head while on-set back in 2008.
In 2012 a Jury came to the decision (8-4) that ABC had in fact fired Sheridan for this reason and sided with her.
