No Bueno: NBC Moves Aquarius And Hannibal To Saturday Nights

Saturday night is not a place you want your favorite TV show to head to, but NBC is sending both Hannibal and Aquarius there starting immediately.

Aquarius  and Hannibal, both of which air on Thursday nights, have been shifted to a Saturday night slot by NBC. This change takes effect immediately, meaning PopWrapped’s next Hannibal  recap will only be up Sunday. NBC has already axed the critically acclaimed series Hannibal, but they moved forward with Aquarius season 2.

This change of schedule could spell out trouble for the recently renewed series Aquarius. The two shows  were not performing well in their Thursday night slots and NBC’s affiliates were not pleased with having such low viewership lead-ins to the late local news, which air right after Hannibal. The network has given assurance that they haven’t changed their renewal decision for Aquarius; the confidence behind their decision lies in how well Aquarius  did when streamed online.

Fans of Aquarius  and Hannibal – don’t forget to watch the shows on Saturday night! Aquarius  will air first at its 9 p.m. slot with Hannibal  following at 10 p.m.
