P!nk And Dallas Green Become You+Me, Reveal New Projects

P!nk and Dallas Green team up to create You+Me! The two are proud to announce their new LP, Rose Ave.

Who could tell there would come a day that P!nk would leave her significant pop style for a more laid-back, folk-influenced sound? It seems that time has now come, as the songstress joined forces with City & Colour’s Dallas Green, and the two of them are now called You+Me. Actually, they have already put out a new single and are preparing for the release of their debut studio album, Rose Ave, via RCA Records.

The newly-formed duo unveiled the official cover art and tracklist for their debut LP, scheduled to come out on October 14, while it is already available for pre-order on iTunes. RCA suggests it is an album by Alecia Moore and Dallas Green, making clear that it’s a brand-new direction for the songstress, who was previously known by her stage name, P!nk. After all, the entire record is set to be filled with folk tunes and nothing close to the commercial pop sounds of her back catalog. Take a look at the tracklist of their record.

  1. “Capsized”
  2. “From a Closet In Norway (Oslo Blues)”
  3. “Gently”
  4. “Love Gone Wrong”
  5. “You and Me”
  6. “Unbeliever”
  7. “Second Guess”
  8. “Break the Cycle”
  9. “Open Door”
  10. “No Ordinary Love”

Along with the album announcement, You+Me also took their official VEVO channel to premiere their very first single, “You And Me”, along with its lyric video. From the very first notes, the more acoustic, country-influenced direction is obvious, but that definitely doesn’t mean it sounds out of place at all; the two singers’ voices fit perfectly together and one could very well think they have been singing together for ages. Give it a listen below.

What do you think of the new direction P!nk is taking? Let us know in the comments.
