So the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards are over and done with, and of course there were some questionable VMAs moments (and some moments that were beyond questionable…). 

But one thing that I noticed throughout this whole show was the amount of “forgiveness“ amongst the popular musicians of the night, particularly with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and Kanye West.

So without wasting any time, let’s look at the Top 5 WTF moments of the last’s night MTV Music Video Awards.

5. Justin Bieber Cries

Ok…why the tears at the VMAs bro? I am not a hater of Bieber at all, some of his antics are peculiar, but there is no denying this young man is a talented musician. After his performance of his new single, Justin started to cry. No explanation as to why…but could it be he regrets all the shenanigans he’s done in past? Who knows. This was just overall weird.

4. Rebel Wilson’s Police Skit

Rebel, what were you thinking. Not cool. Especially with what is going on with the police brutality at the moment. It was tasteless and unnecessary. Wilson and MTV should have known better. It’s like doing a skit on 9/11. You just don’t. Needless to say, the backlash on Twitter was aplenty.

3. Nicki vs. Miley

Nicki won the award for best Hip Hop Video Of The Year (surprise surprise) and instead of just being thankful and getting the hell out of there, she had to be all feisty and go after Miley Cyrus about her comments she made to a publication regarding Minaj’s nasty personality.

Many speculated that this was staged, but sources are saying it wasn’t. With the viewership decreasing in recent years, should we be surprised that MTV would set something like this up to get people talking? You bet your butt they could have. I mean, it’s made this list, right?

Minaj has been known to have a nasty attitude anyway, so why would she get so hung ho over a comment which is obviously true.  And, not only that, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter laughing about the incident. Yes, to get people talking. Which is clearly what they are doing right now. Well done MTV/Nicki.

2. Taylor Swift & Nicki’s Awkward Performance

The thing that I can’t deal with Taylor Swift is that this girl reminds of the popular girl you hate at school. You know, the one that needs to be the center of attention at all times. Talented yes, but must Swift be friends with EVERYONE she encounters. Her recent tour is good example of this. But seriously, we get you had a small beef with Nicki, now you two decide to be best buds and perform together to show the world –

“Hey everyone! Nicki and Me are friends!!! Look at us!!” OH MY GOD, stop already.

It’s a shame cause Taylor has some awesome tunes but it sucks that she must be the martyr and the best friend of everyone. Puh-leaseeee.

1. Kanye West’s Long Speech

I don’t even know where to start. This speech was over 13 mins long with the majority of it having West just stand there and take the 5 minute standing ovation. Really?? Ok, we get you are a talented rapper, but must we fulfill his ever-growing ego more?

Oh and guess who presented him with the Lifetime Achievement award? Yep, you guessed it, Taylor Swift. Again. Seriously, how PR-ish is this? I understand we can forgive and forget, but this is the entertainment industry and what gets people talking is people feuding….

After rambling about so many issues which I can’t be asked to write about, the big announcement that got everyone talking was his running for President in 2020……*crickets*

And Kim Kardashian as the next First Lady…I’ll leave it at that.
