Ok, there’s paranoid and then there’s just…well, this.
Recently in Egypt a “swan” was detained and examined by police over suspicion that it was a spy. Based on the image that was released of the bird “behind bars” it would appear it is actually a stork.
Stork or swan; I want to repeat the animal was behind bars.
According to reports, a man noticed the bird and became suspicious after he noticed a device on the animal; therefore the man conducted a “citizen’s arrest” and took the bird to the police station. After police investigated, it was established that the device was a wildlife tracker used by French scientists and was deemed harmless.
Thankfully for the swan…or rather the stork, it was released unharmed and free of any charges.
This follows a story earlier this year where a security guard filed a police report claiming he had captured a pigeon transporting a microfilm.
