Fans of the TV show may want to pick up this series, as it puts a similar, albeit slightly different, spin on the character. This Kara is a teenaged high school student with an extraordinary after-school job with the DEO. In the first arc, Kara must overcome Krytponian ghosts while trying to balance her two very different lives.

In the near future, the sun’s light can cause humans to be burnt alive. A handful of survivors live in nocturnal cities, staying a safe distance from the light. Eventually, a serial killer using sun as his weapon emerges, with sights on an important young girl. The series sounds intriguing and, as long as Kaplan stays away from the “damsel in distress” trope, will make for a fascinating series.
