What if the brilliance of JayZ’s lyrics was combined with Daft Punk’s infectious rhythms? Thanks to the surprise appearance of an unreleased demo, we no longer have to imagine a world without it!

Rolling Stone reported that the demo track, “Computerized,” first appeared on a Daft Punk fan site, later catching the attention of many music lovers when it was reposted to a Kanye West message board, claiming that the rapper was involved in the collaboration. Pitchfork has since confirmed that West has no connection to the track.

“Computerized” illustrates a future that seems all too real, where society is entirely dependent upon technology and people are consumed by it. With lyrics about communicating over text messaging and having a “broken heart on the email” and “an iTouch but I can’t feel,” this collaboration strikes a cord with the increase in the use of technology in society today. If the intro sounds a bit familiar, that’s because Daft Punk also used it on the Tron: Legacy soundtrack in 2010.

Although much of the information surrounding the track is still unknown, Daft Punk and JayZ fans alike are grateful for the discovery of “Computerized.”
