Every year, we celebrate the greatest films with the Oscars and the Golden Globes, but sometimes it’s important to appreciate the worst the year in movies had to offer. Bring on the Razzie Awards! 2016 brought us some terrible films, according to the critics anyway, and the Razzies would like to honor those films by giving an award to the worst of the worst. Suicide Squad
We cannot say we’ve seen every film on this list, but the ones we have seen aren’t bad enough to be in the Razzie Awards. Batman V. Superman was actually an excellent film, and, though we had our doubts about Affleck’s ‘sad Batman’, he did a really good job. What that film needed was a little more time to show us Affleck’s Batman before throwing him into a film of this magnitude. This film was taking on too much for what it could do. But, we think we can all agree that Wonder Woman’s appearance in the film was terrific.
We also have to say that Suicide Squad had its problems — like the plot — but Jared Leto, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie should have their own film because those three shined in this otherwise mundane movie.
What do you guys think of this year’s Razzie nominees? Do you agree or did you see a worse movie that should be on this list in place of another? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
