What Did You Miss When “Revenge” Went ‘Up In Flames’

NULL

Season 4, Episode 2 – “Disclosure”

WHAT. AN. EPISODE!!!

Everyone else still reeling from that!?

Last nights episode of “Revenge” really set the bar high already for the rest of the season, and it was only the second episode. I really needed the show to reel me in, and….

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

The cliffhanger from last week, with David Clarke abducting Victoria turned out exactly how we all thought, with David professing his undying love for V (as he lovingly calls her) but she remained on edge until she got a better grasp on exactly what happened to him. He revealed to her that he had killed Conrad, but only came back for her and….

Charlotte.

David revealed in a whopper revelation, that he had heard about the boat explosion (from season 2) and heard about “Amanda Clarke” dying.

My head pretty much exploded during this moment, because father/daughter believe the other one is dead! Things got even more interesting as the episode panned out. David informed Victoria he was done hiding, and wanted to reunite with his estranged daughter, but Victoria told him her relationship with her children was in shambles.

She continued she had been imprisoned by someone who had targeted her family:

EMILY THORNE!

How’s that for a twist!?

Obviously, David has no idea Emily is really Amanda.

I could spend a paragraph talking about the Daniel/Margaux/Gideon story….

But I’ll leave that to the notes and focus on the juicier part of the episode!!

Elsewhere, Emily was determined to find Victoria but had an emergency to deal with. On the heels of discovering Gideon with another woman, and Daniel pretty much shutting her out, Charlotte resorted to almost jumping off a hotel balcony. She was saved by Jack and his partner, but the almost suicide awoke Emily to confess her long held secret to her sister.

Emily FINALLY told Charlotte the truth about who she was, and non-shockingly, Charlotte reacted pretty badly. She blasted her newly discover sister about choosing revenge over family, and stormed off.

Perfect reaction if you ask me.

Except Charlotte wasn’t done.

She called Ems with the fake knowledge that she wanted to talk, and once Emily arrived to the Stowaway, Charlotte tricked her and knocked her out with a fire extinguisher.

She then set fire to the Stowaway…..and told the crowd (and paramedics) outside that there was no one left within the building!!!

And that was a wrap!

This episode was absolutely BANANAS and I cannot WAIT for next week!!

SOME NOTES:

1. Okay, so the whole Gideon storyline was pretty useless, except am I alone in LOVING this manipulative Margaux?! Karine Vanasse has never been better and I loved her by episode end. The bit with her and Daniel I could have done without, but still a solid ending. Gideon can go away now.

2. STILL not cool with Jack being a cop. Nope.

3. Anyone else laugh when Victoria kicked David? She had heels on one second and flats when she began running! Editing error!

4. I also don’t believe Conrad is dead. Anybody else think David is hiding him somewhere?

5. Christa B. Allen upped her acting GAME tonight. Bravo lady!!
