Sam Smith has come to meet great success with his debut studio album In The Lonely Hour, and the singles lifted from it. The fourth and latest one, “I’m Not The Only One”, has been out for a while now and even the music video premiered a month ago, but the singer just dropped a new version of it and it features rapper A$AP Rocky.
It seems quite strange to hear that some rap parts were added to one of Sam’s songs, but this one falls right in place and the two sound great together on it. The track kicks off with a verse by A$AP Rocky and lets the singer do his thing right after, before the rapper jumps back in for another verse later. The overall flow is great throughout and there are also some references to Beyoncé.
It’s not the first time Sam joins forces with a more mainstream artist for a collaboration, as he has previously worked with a great number of fellow singers and producers, including Disclosure and Naughty Boy. The singer saw the remix released on iTunes, as he is getting ready to go on the road with his debut album and bring his outstanding tunes to the stage.
