Ooh la la, with a side of goodwill.

Actress and entrepreneur Sofia Vergara is launching an underwear subscription service, EBY, that will also benefit women entrepreneurs around the world. The Modern Family star’s new venture is actually a relaunch of women’s underwear label EBY, originally “Empowered By You,” and it’s following the popular beauty box subscription model. With this new EBY, though, 10% of net sales will go to the Seven Bar Foundation, whose mission is “to provide women with loans that enable them to start or grow their own small businesses, breaking the cycle of poverty for their children via microfinance.”

With options for monthly, bimonthly, or quarterly deliveries, subscribers will be able to choose from six styles (bikini, boyshort, thong, cheeky, brief, and g-string). Prices are reported to be around $15 per pair, and sizes will range from XS to 4XL.

In a statement, Vergara shared her hope for EBY: “I want to be able to provide women with the tools to start their own business as an exit out of poverty. EBY does that with its microfinancing model.”

Sofia Vergara: Actress & Entrepreneur

With Modern Family’s debut in 2009, Sofia Vergara, who plays Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, quickly became one of the ABC comedy juggernaut’s breakout stars, earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations along the way. Displaying her business acumen, Vergara’s ventures outside acting have proved very lucrative and diverse, with Forbes reporting that she earned $37 million in 2014.

In 1998, Vergara became a co-founder of Latin World Entertainment, a "management and entertainment-marketing firm" that's grown to be very successful over the years representing Latino projects and artists. Since her acting career hit the stratosphere, she's had a line of apparel and accessories at Kmart (which ended in 2015) and continues to produce her eponymous line of fragrances. Her endorsement deals include Head & Shoulders, CoverGirl, Diet Pepsi, and AT&T. She’s also expanded her branding in recent years to include a furniture line at Rooms To Go and a jewelry collection with Kay Jewelers.

As Modern Family enters its ninth season, Sofia Vergara is continuing to put her best business foot forward and also taking a step to help others along the way: “There’s nothing sexier than being your own boss.”
