Abbey White

Staff Writer

ABC’s The Visitors is being invaded by some familiar – and some fresh – faces.

The network has cast Heroes alum Milo Ventimiglia and Revenge actor Barry Sloane as leads for its extraterrestrial pilot.

Produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV, The Visitors chronicles a race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to destroy the world using our most precious resource against us.

Ventimiglia will play John Doe/Drew, a man covered in strange tattoos and diagrams who speaks a strange language. Ventimiglia currently serves as serves as executive producer for the Crackle series Chosen. You can catch him next in Grace of Monaco and the Heat remake.

Sloan will play Wes, a former FBI agent now with the Special Projects Division of the Defense department who investigates military threats that are better off solved outside the public’s knowledge. After he is assigned to investigate a startling discovery in the Algerian desert, Wes finds himself embroiled in history’s most explosive event – the realization that we are in fact not alone in this world.

The fate of Sloan’s character on Revenge is still being determined, though he received an “okay” by Revenge’s producers to do a pilot this season.

In addition to the two leads, the pilot has also cast Catalina Denis (Brick Mansions) and Kyle Harrison Breitkopf (Parental Guidance). Denis will play Maria Martinez, the doctor who tends to John Doe in the hospital. Breitkopf will star as Henry, the deaf 7-year-old son of Agent Claire Bennigan.
