‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Blu-Ray/Digital Release Reveals Deleted Scenes

If you haven’t had time to check all the deleted scenes on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-Ray and digital release, check them out here!

We hope by now all of you have seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but, if not, its okay because it is now available on all platforms to own in the US. If you bought the film digitally or on Blu-Ray, then you received deleted scenes, which we are going to rate for you. There are six on the Blu-Ray release, and the digital download offers seven scenes.

Spoilers ahead, naturally.

The first scene we will discuss revolves around Kylo Ren and the Millennium Falcon. The scene looks like it takes place during the attack on the new Death Star, and Ren is searching the Falcon with some Stormtroopers. We see why it was cut because it doesn’t offer much to the story, but it made us nervous in case Han had still been in the ship.

The next scene stars Princess Leia — we would have liked to see more of her in the film! — and a message from Jakku. We assume it’s about BB-8 and would have taken place early on in the film.

Next up is a very brief scene where the team of X-Wing fighters leave for battle and prepare to go into light speed. That’s it, which is probably why it didn’t make the final cut.

After that, we get a scene about the attack on the village of Jakku where Finn has his gun on an innocent woman but can’t kill her. It’s a good scene to cement the fact that he is just not capable of doing what the First Order trained him to do, and it makes us love him even more.

Next, we have a scene in the snow where Finn and Rey are racing away from some Stormtroopers on a speeder. It gives more chances to see what a badass Rey is, but, other than that, it definitely doesn’t fit into the story the final version of the film tells.

The sixth scene is from the end of the film where a worried Rey is looking at a still-unconscious Finn. This scene adds a moment where a woman comforts Rey by telling her that he will be okay. We liked this one.

The final scene is our favorite because it’s funny and it gives us a little more Han Solo to love. It involves Maz, Han, and co. trapped by Stormtroopers, and Han tries to talk his way out of it. Take a look below.

The extra content from Star Wars: The Force Awakens also gives us a very special rap song by one Daisy Ridley and one John Boyega. Check it out!
