Rumors are swirling around the internet about the possibility of a Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer showing before the December 16th premiere of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
A young man claims to have spoken to Star Wars: The Force Awakens First Assistant Director, Tommy Gormley, about when fans can expect a trailer. Reece Steel, the young man in question, posted the 1st AD’s supposed response on twitter. Here’s the tweet:
Apparently, Tommy Gormley was speaking at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) to meet with the University’s film students. One of the students in attendance, Brian Cameron, took to twitter to dispute the trailer rumors.
Who knows who Reece Steel is? And who knows if Tommy Gormley revealed something about a teaser trailer? What we do know is that Recce’s Twitter account has been deleted. And that The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies premieres on December 16th. Everything else is merely internet speculation.
