In a Digital Spy article, it quotes a BuzzFeed interview with famed DC Comics writer Geoff Johns where he says the Wonder Woman/Superman relationship will end badly.
“The thing about Wonder Woman and Superman is when their relationship ends, it’s going to end badly. There is no good way for this one to end,” Johns is quoted in the BuzzFeed story.
If you recall when DC Comics rebooted Superman with the New 52, it erased the whole Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane relationship, where they have been married these past 15 years to being back to work colleagues and Lois oblivious to whom Clark really is.
Instead, in the New 52 Justice League series, DC Comics decided to pair Superman and Wonder Woman romantically.
According to the Digital Spy article, the end of their relationship is part of the upcoming “Trinity War” crossover that will run through six issues of Justice League, Justice League of America and Justice League Dark, with several tie-ins and spinoffs.
With Superman and Wonder Woman breaking up, this will hopefully lead DC Comics to put Lois and Clark/Superman back together on the romance front.
