The Blacklist: 03×07, Zal Bin Hasaan

Fireworks went off on ‘The Blacklist’ which upset the balance of the fandom! Read on to see if you were as shocked as we were when ___ & ___ got together!

This week’s episode of The Blacklist  was filled with a lot of making out and deceit.  Let’s get started.

We began with a flashback scene of young Samar as her parents were murdered in cold blood.  She sheltered her brother from it and promised to protect him forever.  If you remember, her brother was killed in a bombing and Red gave Samar the man responsible last season.

Red and Liz are standing in a kitchen, Red casually drinking a peach drink.  A man walks in who’s in debt to Red but Red is willing to waive it for a meeting with someone.  A someone we never learned the name of.  The man will only set the meeting if Red delivers Zal Bin Hasaan.  Cue the FBI team.

Ressler is in a pissing match with the Director over intel sharing, which he later wins.  Aram finds out that the Director’s tech guy, who never ever spoke to him in school, has a number which could belong to Keen or Red.  Turns out it’s Tom’s but we’ll get to that later.

Samar doesn’t seem to want to find this man but Aram says they have to do it for her brother.  They get a lead and take down the base but Zal Bin Hasaan escapes, or so we think.  They find prisoners and one is Samar’s brother.  What???  He’s alive.

When Red finds out they missed the person he wants, he and Liz head to a laundromat and get a new lead.  Liz gets a call from Tom who wants to meet.  Guess who heard that call?  The director and he send Solomon (the best villain ever) out!  But Ressler mentions it to Cooper over the phone and Cooper tips them off, but Ressler does find Solomon and bring him in.

Red goes to interrogate a man who is not Zal Bin Hasaan and gains nothing from the encounter.  Tom and Liz meet in the diner, against Red’s better judgement but it appears he’s ok with it.  Does anyone remember when she sneak-called Tom?  I guess Red found out at some point and it’s ok because they never touched on that.

Samar reunites with her brother, then kisses an old partner before finding out her brother is Zal Bin Hasaan.  OMG!  I called that halfway through the episode, btw.  Samar is devastated and Zal takes her hostage but Red and Dembe are there to save the day. Samar tearfully gives her brother to Red which secures the meeting he wants.

Ressler goes to Cooper’s but doesn’t find out they have Karakurt because he hates Tom so much.  They have a fistfight which ended with Ressler kicking a lawn gnome, shattering it.  Ok dude, chill.  Red tells Cooper not to worry about Karakurt because he has a better plan.  But, maybe they should keep him just in case since it looks like Red and Liz are in jeopardy next week, separately.

On the positive side of things, the Director got himself kicked out of the Post Office for holding intel back from the team.

How did the episode end?  Ressler and Samar got it on!   WTH???  I am in shock over that.  But, you know Keenler can still happen though after Tom’s confession of love, once more, I really want them together.

Until next week!
