Francis Lawrence spilled the beans recently that the end of The Hunger Games series ends in a simple way.  The Hunger Games series has been a hit almost immediately since its release, and has sparked great interest all over the globe. The residents of District 12, and beyond have captured viewer’s hearts, not to mention the girl on fire herself, Katniss Everdeen. Katniss Everdeen, played by Jenifer Lawrence, immediately stole viewers hearts the instant she appeared on screen.

Francis Lawrence told MTV News how the blockbuster series is going to end, “A very small, minimal scene of Katniss hunting.”  It is quite appropriate that the series ends as it began, with a girl and her bow.

The much anticipated sequel, Catching Fire hits all theatres this weekend. However, a decision has yet to be made regarding where the third installment of the series is going to be divided. Many different areas have been discussed. With that being said, “The very first scene we shot was almost the very last scene of Part 2,” Francis revealed.

A new feature that is being used in Catching Fire is 30 minutes of IMAX footage for the ever intense arena scenes.  Sadly Mockingjay parts one and two will not follow suit. Francis Lawrence concluded, “We’re doing something different because the story is different,” Lawrence added. “We’re going for a different kind of feeling.” Make sure that you go out and catch the girl on fire, to see what happens next in the world of Panem.
