Joseph Morgan’s Klaus is in. So is Daniel Gilles’s Elijah. Now, Claire Holt’s Rebekah has decided to join her TV brother’s in the potential Vampire Diaries spinoff, The Originals.
Per Deadline, Claire Holt will appear as her vampire self in the CW project, whose planted pilot airs as an episode of Vampire Diaries on April 25th. Other cast members that have been announced already are Phoebe Tonkin (as Haley, a werewolf), Daniella Pineda and Danielle Campbell (as witches Sophie and Davina) and Leah Pipe (as a human student).
In the planted pilot, Klaus returns to New Orleans and is reunited with his diabolical former protégé Marcel (The Game’s Charles Michael Davis). Elijah, meanwhile, determined to help his brother find redemption, sides with Marcel’s enemies as a way to keep Klaus in line.
This spinoff is shaping up to be quite awesome!
