Are you ready to spice up your life once more? It’s been some time since we’ve heard from 90’s legends the Spice Girls, but it looks like everyone’s favorite girl group is returning once again for a reunion that sounds like something fans won’t want to miss. Not only will this bring back the Spice Girls, but it will also hit the small screen as a TV special and new album.

While there have been reunions in the past, most notably at the 2012 Olympics, the upcoming 2018 will also involve a TV special and the return of Victoria Beckham, also known as Posh Spice, who had declined to be part of previous reunions.

Apparently, the thing that brought the Spice Girls together once more was the divorce of Melanie Brown–Scary Spice–as well as the birth of Ginger Spice/Geri Halliwell’s son.

“Things between them were quite icy at the start of the year. But gradually the ice thawed, and Mel B was the one who drove that. Mel’s divorce battle also helped to bring them back together, as did the birth of Geri’s son,” reveals TvWeb.com. “Plans at the moment are still in the early stages, and everything involving the girls tends to be complicated because they are so busy. It is not easy to get them all in the same place at the same time. But the team behind the reunion are delighted to have made it to this point.”

Hints of a reunion were actually given last month by Halliwell , who reportedly wanted to get the Spice Girls back together but was having no luck at the time, saying “I really pushed to get everyone back together. It got to the point where I just had to let it go. I still love the girls and there are other bits and bobs in the pipeline.”

Though there are no details yet on when this reunion special with air, it’s definitely good to see the Spice Girls back together!
