As the countdown to the 86th Academy Awards is ticking down and every one you speak to has an opinion on who should be awarded with a precious golden statue, those lucky enough to be in the running will be shortly announced.
The eyes of the entertainment world will be focused on Australian Chris Hemsworth come the early morning of January 16 as the Thor star joins Academy President Cheryl Boone Issacs to announce the nominations.
Hemsworth will reveal the shortlist for each category at a press conference starting at 5.38am PT at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The event will be broadcast live on ABC.
The 2014 Oscars ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 2. Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the ceremony for the second time.
