That’s right my little X-Philes, FOX has finally given us an official, full trailer for The X-Files series reboot and I don’t think I could fan-girl any harder! Back in March, it was announced that FOX was bringing back The X-Files in 6-episode mini-series to air in January. We have been regularly teased with images from the set, interviews and teaser trailers. But on Tuesday, FOX rolled out a full length trailer and we finally get to see Mulder and Scully together again, doing what they do best: being bad-ass FBI agents in search of the truth…and aliens.
In our first real look at the upcoming reboot, it’s like no time has passed at all; conspiracies are everywhere, the world is in peril and the “Cigarette Smoking Man” can’t be up to any good! The mini-series reunites the original, core cast including David Duchovny (Mulder), Gillian Anderson (Scully), Mitch Pileggi (Director Skinner) and William B. Davis (Cigarette Smoking Man). Annabeth Gish is also set to make an appearance; she starred in the original run of the series from 2001-2002 as FBI Agent Monica Reyes. An amazing roster of guest stars have been tapped including Joel McHale (Community), Robbie Amell (The Flash), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley).
The X-Files will return to FOX Sunday, January 24th(10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT) directly following the NFC Championship Game, with a special, two-night event and continuing Monday, January 25th in its scheduled time-slot of 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT.
