Tom Felton Confirms #Drarry With Instagram Post

Tom Felton posted an amusing photo of himself and former costar Daniel Radcliffe online as an April Fools’ Day treat for the Potterheads.

The world of Harry Potter is definitely one of the biggest fandoms on the planet right now. For the actors involved in the movies, reactions from rabid fans can undoubtedly get overwhelming and, sometimes, a bit odd.

Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, has obviously embraced one of the more unusual aspects of the fandom with a great sense of humor.

As an April Fool’s Day prank, Felton posted a photoshopped image of himself with Daniel Radcliffe as a sexy, shirtless couple with the message, “May as well just say it. We’re together now x #drarry.”

The #drarry hashtag is a reference to the term fans use when fantasizing or “shipping” the Draco and Harry characters in a romantic relationship in fan art and fiction. Fans will also depict the real Felton and Radcliffe as a romantic couple in many stories. The results of all these fan offerings can often get pretty explicit and downright kinky.

Felton’s post shows that instead of getting freaked out by this particular type of fan appreciation, he’s taking it all in good fun, which is of course how most fans intend it.

Being talented, handsome, successful, and famous, especially at a young age, often turns actors into stereotypical aloof celebrity egomaniacs. Fortunately for his fans, it looks like Felton has a level head and doesn’t take himself too seriously. Too bad he can’t wave a wand and make all of Hollywood that way.
