Trey Songz is preparing to re-release his latest studio album, Trigga, and has already kicked off the promotion for it. With the first single from it already out, the R&B crooner has now gone and released a brand-new single from it, titled “About You”.

Sampling Cary Simon’s “You’re So Vain”, Trey Songz provides us with another slow-burning urban lovesong. The synths-driven production finds him laying his soft vocals on top and singing the lyrics as an ode to his beloved lady. It’s kind of a jam already, but surprisingly it’s not as sonically sexy as previous offerings. Instead, it seems like an honest declaration of love done perfectly with some beats on top. Good to hear the singer keeping it sweet and simple on this one, indeed.

“About You” serves as the second official single to be lifted from the crooner’s forthcoming, repackaged version of his latest studio album, titled Trigga Reloaded. It’s a follow-up to “Slow Motion”, which came out in late January. Trey Songz is planning to re-release the record on June 23. Until then, take a listen to his brand-new track below.
