Following last night’s finale of the hit AMC show Breaking Bad, cast members – Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks and RJ Mitte – as well as creator, Vince Gilligan, appeared on Talking Bad (a talk-show about that series) and discussed aspects of the finale.

Gunn, who played Skylar White, discussed her Emmy win. “I really didn’t know what was happening for a second,” she recalled. “I saw Aaron and Bryan and everybody standing up and thought they must’ve called my name… Bryan very sweetly said to me, “Just breathe” and ‘I love you’.”

Gilligan revealed details of a deleted scene, which will appear on the DVD boxset, where Walt encounters a former student and asks him if he was a good teacher. The student replies that he was and that he remembers a time when Walt changed the colour of a flame by spraying different chemicals on it.

The cast and creator also discussed Bryan Cranston and Gunn’s final scene, where it was revealed that the camera operator had to look away from the eyepiece because he was crying.
