On Friday August 30th, Cassadee Pope winner of season 3 of the NBC singing competition The Voice stopped by to put on a free acoustic concert at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, Florida. She showcased a couple songs from her debut country album Frame By Frame slated to release on October 8th.
The first song Cassadee performed was titled “Good Times”, a nice upbeat song. This was followed by “Champagne” another off the upcoming album. She said this was one of her favorite songs. The crowd was going wild.
The next song the songstress performed was “You Hear A Song”, which was a song she released exclusively on iTunes. She described this tune as “a song that you have somebody to look up to.”
She then went on to thank the crowd for coming and how grateful she was for all of the support through everyone voting for her while she was on The Voice. The next track Pope performed was “11” a very personal track about her parents getting divorced.
Once she finished that she went on to sit her #1 hit “Wasting All These Tears” which describes an ex boyfriend cheating on her. Everybody sang along to this hit. She ended the night wit a cover of “Over You” by Miranda Lambert, which was her highest charting cover on The Voice.
After the show she was hosting a meet and greet at a nearby bar and grill. Unfortunately I did not get to meet her due to the huge line. There’s always next time!
Overall it was an amazing concert! If you are a fan of country music or not you should check Cassadee out. She is so talented and you can tell!
