Why You Should Be Watching 'The Mick' On Fox | The Mick

Over the course of winter break, which works so nicely with a break from our regular shows, I, like many of you, had a hard time finding out what to watch. Well, I found the best comedy on Hulu and if you're not watching it, you are missing out. Fox premiered The Mick last year and it's currently halfway through its second season. It is hilarious!

The show follows the story of Mackenzie 'Mickey' (Kaitlin Olson) as she embarks into her sister's life but gets much more then she bargained for. Mickey crashes a simple brunch where her sister and her sister's husband get arrested for some big money problems and Mickey is left with her nieces and nephews, who live a spoiled life. Sabrina (Sofia Black-D'elia) is the oldest and she has an attitude that makes any parent watching afraid of their future. Next comes Chip (Thomas Barbusca), the middle child who is so entitled you can see it in the first episode and gives Mick huge problems. Last is the sweet Ben (Jack Stanton), who is the youngest and most easily acclimating into Mick's new role. Mick takes over and her first order of business is to let the family's maid/cook/nanny Alba (Carla Jimenez) off her role and allow her to be her best friend. Jiminez starts slow with this role but once you're in the depths of the show, she will have you on the floor laughing! Lastly, Mick's guy Jimmy (Scott MacArthur) joins Mickey in the mansion for no reason really but he's one of my favorites on the show. The entire cast is hilarious and when you mix that with the circumstances of their new lives, it's unstoppable comedy with a few tender moments.

This show was a surprise hit for me and I am so glad I jumped in! I binged the entirety of the show in three days and luckily, it comes back this Tuesday on Fox at 9:30/8:30pm E/C. If you already watch, do you love this show too? Who's your favourite character? If not, why are you waiting? The Mick is an amazing show and you will love it!
