William Shatner took to Twitter to ask pop music icon Justin Bieber to follow him!

Bieber’s fans were jealous of Shatner’s ease at getting a quick follow.  Shatner quickly tweeted post-follow that Bieber had a DM (Direct Message) waiting for him.

After reading his messages, Bieber tweeted about his love for Supernatural, the hit CW television show starring Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins.

Why did Shatner need Bieber to do this in the name of #TeamShatner ?  The answer, GISHWHES.

Supernatural actor Misha Collins started this worldwide scavenger hunt, which helps out a great cause.  William Shatner and Misha Collins have a fun rivalry on Twitter and they play against each other with GISHWHES, each celeb offering something to the team that wins.

The reason for Shatner’s tweet is a good one, but didn’t we all kind of hope we’d get a new Bieber song featuring William Shatner?  ‘Baby 2.0’!
