Do you like to binge-watch every episode of Orange is the New Black or Making A Murderer? Or are YouTube’s popular lifestyle videos more your preference?
You can soon combine those two and binge-watch YouTube Red, YouTube’s new original content service.
One of the new programs announced is PewDiePie’s new YouTubeRed original series Scare PewDiePie. The reality series puts star Felix Kjellberg in various situations, inspired by his favorite video games.
Other original content includes three full-length films, which will be made available online the same date, February 10.
Lilly Singh aka IISuperwomanII, for example went on a world tour last summer and documented all of it. The film features life on and off stage, vlogs and the stress of being a superhero in real life.
A Trip To Unicorn Island (ATTUI) is an ode to Singh’s world tour as well as all her fans from Team Super and unicorns around the world.
Additionally a superhero film called Lazer Team produced by Rooster Teeth and Dance Camp, a musical and great collaboration of various YouTubers will be available on the platform.
February 10th marks the date where first original content from YouTube Red gets published and from then on it is made available to all of your enjoyment!
Of course, you will have to purchase the YouTube Red Subscription for $9.99 a month, if you want to have all the perks. If you sign up, you get one month free YouTube Red, an ad-free YouTube and original content by YouTubers for you!
Though the service is currently only made available in the US, don’t you fret! YouTube announced that the original content will be made available in the Google Play Store all around the world in 105 countries – anywhere where you can access the Play Store! (This may be the first time, us Android users can access something more easily than those iOS users! HA!)
