Jacob Elyachar Staff Writer Happy Halloween! As Thursday, October 31 creeps closer, PopWrapped is celebrating the holiday by showcasing some of our favorite things about the holiday. So welcome to today's instalment of Popaween. Growing up, I have been a huge fan of Scooby Doo! I have watched almost every single episode and I remember that there were several episodes that scared me! Here are five episodes I found the scariest in Scooby Doo history! “A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts” During the first season of Scooby Doo, Where Are You!, the gang travels to Franken Castle where they encounter a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster and the Wolf Man! While it was revealed that the main villain was a con artist, the sudden appearances/disappearances of the monsters gave viewers quite the fright! [youtube=http://youtu.be/v66vSQ729fs] “The Ghoul, the Bat & the Ugly” The gang won a contest to attend the Batty Awards. However, they found themselves at the center of a mystery when the Shadow Creature disrupts the ceremony! In addition, a trio of disgruntled employees disguised themselves as Dracula, the Wolf Fan and the Bride of Frankenstein to get even with Brandon Davies. “A Halloween Hassle in Dracula’s Castle" After years of dealing with actors in costumes, Scooby and the gang finally dealt with real monsters during The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries, “A Halloween Hassle in Dracula’s Castle.” Count Dracula and his wife charged the gang with helping them and their guests (Frankenstein’s Monster, the Wolf Man and the Mummy) deal with the ghost of his archenemy: Dr. Van Helsing.

“Scoobra Kadoobra” [youtube=http://youtu.be/dXTxFspuw0M] I could have written an entire article about The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo...but I decided to close this story with two episodes from this scary series.  The first ghost that Scooby and Mysteries, Inc. encountered was Maldor the Malevolent. Between his monstrous appearance and Peter Cullen’s demonic vocal performance, in my opinion Maldor remains one of Scooby’s greatest and most fearsome opponents. [youtube=http://youtu.be/xywJaRQlamY] “That’s Monsterainment!” Probably the scariest episode in the entire series was “That’s Monsterainment!” Zomba (voiced by legendary actor Les Tremayne) trapped the gang inside The Son of the Bride of the Ghost of Frankenstein, while she searched for the Chest of Demons. The gang completed the movie with Scooby as Victor Frankenstein and created his own monster. All I know is that Zomba still gives me the creeps to this day! From all of us, I want to wish everyone a very Happy Halloween! http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
