Who failed spectacularly on the SAG Awards red carpet
We've all heard the phrase, "Out with the old and in with the new," right? Unfortunately, that does not cease to happen often, even more so on the red carpet - this year's SAG Awards is no different. One would easily assume that there would be less cringe worthy dresses and outfits as the years go by, but this isn't the case for some celebrities. With every beautiful dress made, one not-so great one is created as well. Here are my five worst looks of the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
I didn't know what to make out of it either, but I do know that it's the most horrendous look I've ever seen this year. I've written a few fashion recaps, yet this outfit tops every worst dressed list so far. It has odd straps hanging about, and it's pink. Usually the latter isn't so bad, but it's terrible in this case. I'm not sure if even the fashion police can do anything about it...
2. Melora Hardin and Julianne Moore in Givenchy Haute Couture and Chopard jewelry
As ironic as this sounds, there are two dresses that made number two. First, let's begin with Melora Hardin's (The Office) unflattering dress. Not only does it have an excruciating, painful print, it's weirdly shaped and its length is all over the place.
Next, is the sparkly ensemble that reminds me of my own fashion fails as a child. I repeat, as a child. I can't bear to look at this.
3. Our Lady J
The mesh combined with the green and purple are a disaster waiting to happen, or in this case, it already did! The shiny sneakers and her choice of accessories didn't help make it any better. Cases like these show how simplicity is often the better option.
4. Gwendoline Christie
I adore her in Game of Thrones, but I do not adore this dress, or what's left of it. What's disappointing is that her dress looked promising. If only it had been finished in time for the awards show. Maybe it will be done by the 2017 SAG Awards?
5. Alison Brie in Atelier Versace, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and Roger Vivier shoes
If there's one thing that irks me the most, it's cutouts. Well, it's more of the placement of said cutouts that bother me to no end, and this dress just found its way there. That's not all; it has an orange seat belt at the back. Strangely enough, she makes the dress look decent.
