Baltimore, Maryland’s 3PM spoke this Friday about their sophomore album, Slow Me Down. A mixture of a Blink-182 and Forever the Sickest Kids, with melodious Good Charlotte guitar solos, Fall Out Boy beats, and their own new rebellious yet heartfelt sound. This record will give you all of the nostalgic feels with the excitement of something new.

Fresh from the Warped Tour, the guys of 3PM were excited to talk music, life, and puppies.

Your musical influences show in your music, like a blend of all of our favorites, such as Fall Out Boy and Blink-182. Are there any sounds or artists you try specifically NOT to sound like?

Scott:We don’t try to sound like anybody or try not to sound like anyone!  We write songs because we like it, not because we’re trying to sound or not sound like anyone in particular.

If you could write a song for any of today’s artists to perform, who would it be?

Brandon: Justin Bieber, so he can have one good song.

You got to play at the Warped Tour this year! Who was your favorite band to meet? Who was your favorite to watch perform?

Brennan: We hung out with and watched Mayday Parade.  It was really cool talking with them and then watching them go on stage and do their thing.

If you could tour with anyone, who would it be?

Brennan: All Time Low, hands down! We played an awesome show with them recently and they were really friendly and our music sounds a lot alike, or so we’re told.

What are your goals, as a band, in the next few years?

Brandon: Well in the next few years we want to have actually established the beginning of a career in music.  To us, that means developing a strong nation-wide fan base, hopefully playing the full warped tour next summer, and ultimately get signed to big label.

What’s next?

Brennan: Our brand(on) new album, “Slow Me Down” is coming out this Friday!
