Valerie Harper, 73, is best known for portraying Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and the spin-off Rhoda.
Harper was diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatoisis, a rare condition where the cancer spreads into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain, on January 15th.
She has maybe three months left to live. However, Harper is keeping a positive outlook on it all. She tells people “I don’t think of dying, I think of being here now.”
Our thoughts are with Valerie, her family and her friends at this difficult time.
