I’m so glad he seems to be doing better, but his appearance is really alarming.
Deryck Whibley, of Sum 41 fame, made headlines last week when it was revealed that he had been hospitalized for over a month due to his liver and kidneys failing. This was caused from many years of heavy drinking, something Whibley has spoken to in the past.
Deryck posted the following message along with the above photo:
Hey everyone, I just wanted to thank you all so much for sending gifts and all of the compassion and support you have shown me. It really means a lot to me in this time of recovery. I will be better soon and back out on stage before you know it.

I’m sincerely happy that he’s seemingly doing well, but I can’t help but be worried about his weight. This man is 34-years-old, and looks like a shell of his former self.
