Following the success of the 2012 released, Dredd, 2000 AD is supporting the fan-endorsed sequel and the ‘Make a Dredd Sequel’ campaign
According to Digital Spy, 2000 AD has announced ‘an international “Day of Action” ’ for fans to come out and show their support. September 18 is the day for fans to sign the petition and buy DVDs and merchandise to show their support.
A PR representative for Rebellion, the company responsible for publishing the comic book series, has said that ‘not long aft the film came out, this fan-run campaign started up,’ according to CinemaBland.
Also in support of the sequel is the movie’s leading man, Karl Urban, who has been watching the petition’s popularity.
September 18th, the Day of Action, marks the one-year anniversary of the movie’s release.
While the movie did well in the UK, it wasn’t so successful in the US; however DVD and Blu-ray sales are proving strong.
If you want to support a Dredd 3D squeal be sure to sign the petition here.
