If you’re a fan of Jackie Chan then you’ll be interested to know that he’s to open a Jackie Chan theme park. It will be called ‘JC World’ in Beijing, China. At a media event in the city the Hong Kong martial arts star advised he wanted to exhibit all of his things . It certainly looks like he’ll be doing just that.
With a square mile to work with in Beijing’s Yizhuang district, Chan revealed the part would be split into five sections. Each section would offer a different ‘cultural experience’ centering on his famed collection of historic Chinese sandalwood houses. This was the subject of controversy earlier in the year when he donated the remaining sandalwood houses to a Singaporean University.
Entry to the park will be free. Chan will, however, have a few paid attractions in order to generate funds for maintenance of his main attractions, the sandalwood houses.
It should be an interesting addition to a culturally rich city.
