It’s official! Kick-Ass star will be Quicksilver in upcoming Avengers sequel, according to Latino Review. While X-Men: Days of Future Past found their Quicksilver in Evan Peters, The Avengers: Age of Ultron has reportedly found its superhero mutant in Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor Johnson. For several months Taylor-Johnson has been in talks for the mutant with superhuman speed. Even before he got the role, the 23-year-old actor did his research on the character and the aspects he enjoys about Quicksilver. “He has real anger frustration - I like that. I always thought it'd be quite funny if you saw him eating loads and people asked him why and he'd explain it's because he's burning so much energy all the time,” Taylor-Johnson explained to Total Film. The news of his casting also comes off the heels of the official announcement of Elizabeth Olsen playing Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff’s twin sister Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlett Witch. As for the dynamic between the two, “Him and his sister [Scarlet Witch] have been abandoned by their parents and their father, and they grew up in Eastern Europe defending and looking out for themselves and each other,” Taylor-Johnson explained. Both Olsen and Taylor-Johnson will appear in the upcoming 2014 Godzilla remake before appearing as mutant siblings in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
