After much speculation from fans of USA's Graceland worldwide about the fate of Special Agent Michael Warren, Aaron Tveit has finally confirmed that his character will appear in season 3 of the summer series... at least, in “some capacity.” Personally, I hope that “some capacity” doesn’t mean lying in a coma for a majority of the season, because that would just be cruel, no?
Fans have taken to Twitter and Tumblr over the past few weeks to voice their concerns about not seeing Tveit in any pictures of filming on social media. Many of the Graceland writers, crew members, and actors have posted photos from set, and while almost everyone from season 2 had been accounted for on location in southern Florida, Tveit’s absence did not go unnoticed.
At NBCU Summer Press Day this past week in Pasadena, California, Tveit appeared on the red carpet for interviews with fellow Graceland cast member, Daniel Sunjata. While they revealed no hints about the story line for the upcoming season at the event, fans who have been following along with filming closely on social media already have an idea of the drama and suspense (cue flaming explosions, character cars, and bloodied actors) being woven into the new season.
And as for a premiere date? Tveit and Sunjata agree that we can "assume June". While their interviews on the red carpet didn't reveal too much about what's to come, it's safe to say that Gracelanders are rejoicing at the announcement of Mike Warren's confirmation-ish about returning to the show for season 3!
