The word is out! ABC has officially ordered Johnny Knoxville’s comedy pilot.
Knoxvilles ‘outlaw’ comedy (unnamed) is just one of seven pilots ordered by the broadcaster, according to TVLine. He’s set to narrate the show, written by Victor Fresco (Better Off Ted), focusing on his Southern childhood and its effect on his life.
Along with Knoxville’s show, ABC has also commissioned Delores & Jermaine, a comedy based on the experiences of Jermaine Fowler, and The 46 Percenters. It focuses on three couples who have managed to remain married – contrary to the 54% of American couples who divorce.
Also in the works is an untitled NBA project who’s focal point is a non-English-speaking rookie player, and a Judah Miller pilot, which sees a couple take up sports to support their athletic son.
Knoxville recently starred as the voice of Leonardo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
