AC/DC is one of the most iconic rock bands of all time, since they've come a long way in the 40 years of their career. The bandmates have now announced the release of their 15th studio album, but something is going to be different this time around. The group's original guitarist Malcom Young retired, and will not be coming back for the record.
The follow-up to 2008's Black Ice will be titled Rock Or Bust and is scheduled to be released on November 28. It will mark as the first one in the Australian band's back catalog without Young. As a matter of fact, AC/DC had earlier announced that he was taking a break due to health problems. It was also revealed that the guitarist had even spent some time in the hospital, but the rest of the group's members did not further address the subject.
In a new statement coming from them through Alberts and Sony Music Australia, the band informed fans that Young would not join them in this coming era.
Despite the guitarist's absence, there's still a tour in the works for AC/DC, to support Rock Or Bust. Steve Young, Angus and Malcolm’s nephew, is going to be joining them in guitar duties. The younger Young's work with the riffs will also be heard in the 11 tracks of the album. The Brendan O'Brien-produced tracklisting was recorded in 10 days, at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver.
