Eighteen years later, a Full House reunion is a vague possibility.
Screenrant.com wreaked havoc earlier this year when they announced a revival of the show for 2014, only to later reveal that it was a cruel April Fool’s joke.
Candance Cameron Bure, known as D.J. Tanner on the late 1980s sitcom, told Us Weekly at a recent charity event in Los Angeles that she wouldn’t be opposed to a reunion.
“That wonderful rumor went everywhere. It’s been thought about for a long time. A lot of things would have to work out for that to happen. I keep saying, never say never. It did create great buzz, so who knows?”she said.
Looking at the idea from her perspective as a 37-year-old mother, Bure thinks the sitcom would still appeal to the generation that grew up with the cast.
“I was on [the show] from 10 to 18 and now I have three kids, so that whole generation that grew up with me has kids. And then there is the generation that was Stephanie’s [actress Jodie Sweetin] age and Michelle’s [Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen] age, and a lot of us are moms now so I think there is a need for that type of show, and clearly a desire so who knows?”
Not all of her costars seem to feel the same, however.
John Stamos, also known as “Uncle Jessie”, tweeted after the April Fools hoax that he wasn’t interested in a reunion: “Fullhouse was 1 of the best things that ever happened 2 my life and career- I will always b grateful. A reunion is NOT in the cards for me.”
What do you think, PopWrappers?
Would you like to see a Full House remake? And would you still watch if any of the cast members decided not to participate?
