Wow, Sienna, jealous much? Actress Sienna Guillory recently tweeted some rather condescending words to the young female fans of her High Rise co-star Tom Hiddleston.
As he’s done on several other film sets, Hiddleston has been spending hours interacting with his ardent fans. These fans have shown up on the set of the film in Northern Ireland to get a few minutes of interaction with their idol.
While the fans have covered the spectrum as far as age and gender, it seems that Ms. Guillory has taken particular exception to the teenage girls who were there to meet Tom.
Guillory tweeted:

Guillory also tweeted:
Away from my little girls again, hoping I don't spontaneously lactate at sight of teen girl mound tomorrow and start swaddling the lot of em

On top of not being very clever or funny, and frankly a little gross (“lactate”, really?), Guillory’s digs at girls for their footwear choices and their mere presence on the set have justifiably riled up the Hiddleston fandom.
Twitter users have responded with messages such as:

@guillorybe seriously? What if that we're your daughter out there? What's sad is those fan girls probably have more manners and class than you

Guillory tried to backtrack and “clarify” by following up with:
If it helps: Swaddle means to envelop, protect. Mound is the grassy hill top. Suffering in the cold for an act of kindness breaks my heart
— Sienna Guillory (@guillorybe) July 15, 2014
Most fans, however, still weren’t buying it. One responded with:
@guillorybe as a mother and woman have an exceedingly hard time believing you did not know how those tweets would be interpreted.

For the record, there have been no reports of problems with fan behavior on the High Rise set, and from fan photos and videos, everyone, Tom included, seem to be having a good time.
So my big question is, if Tom and the filmmakers have no issue with Tom’s teenage, female fans, why should Sienna Guillory? Maybe the actress will learn that not all publicity is good publicity, and perhaps she should pay attention to her own shoes, since it certainly seems that she’s fallen flat on her face with this one.
